We are a Philadelphia-based organization comprised of Black churches and its members addressing issues head on as an agent of change. We believe in strength in numbers: the more people come together, the louder the voice we can have. We also believe in the power of the Black Church and that God is on the side of the oppressed.
Mission
To fight for social justice and
liberation and make the city of Philadelphia a more just and equitable place to live.
Vision
Black Faith Rising seeks to be a voice of the community, challenging the status quo and fighting for better conditions and more access to resources to allow our communities to thrive. We seek to be a multi-issue organization, fighting for social justice on many levels through the organizing of marginalized individuals, families, and communities.
